Review Dewalt 10-inch Table Saw with Folding Stand (DWE7491RS)

The Verdict: 🪚🪚🪚🪚🪚(5/5 Blades)

If you’re tired of "fighting" your equipment before you even start your project, this saw is the answer. I’ve put this machine through the ringer—building a full deck, custom shed doors, and even milling high-end farmhouse window and door trim.

Here’s how it stacks up against my 5-Blade Standard.

1. The "Sunday Night" Factor (Reliability)

This saw is a workhorse. It handled pressure-treated lumber for the deck and fine-milling for my interior trim without the motor ever bogging down. It’s the kind of tool that gives you confidence that the job will actually get finished before the sun goes down.

2. The Chiropractor Scale (Ergonomics)

The rolling stand is the real hero here.

It’s incredibly easy to set up and collapse.

My back thanked me every time

I loaded it into the shed. It’s stable while cutting,

but mobile enough that

I’m not dreading the "setup and teardown"

phase of a Saturday morning.

3. Out-of-the-Box Accuracy (Precision)

This is rare: it was square and plumb right out of the box.

I didn't have to spend my first three hours with a square

and a hex key. The rack and pinion fence system is the best in the business—the measurements are dead-on accurate, meaning I spent less time measuring and more time cutting.

4. The "Wallet-to-Work" Ratio (Value)

It’s an investment, but it’s a "buy once, cry once" tool. The fact that the riving knife and blade guard are easy to remove (and actually put back on) means you’ll actually use the safety features instead of tossing them in a drawer. Plus, the safety lock on the power switch is a must-have for any dad with curious kids around. The 15-amp motor and the 10-inch blade are great at working through those tougher projects. The blade being true made quick work of ripping 2x4 material into 3 x 5/8 farmhouse trim.

5. The "Loud Neighbor" Index (Noise & Dust)

Here is the one catch: you need a vacuum. While the saw is powerful, it’ll turn your driveway into a beach of sawdust in minutes without a shop vac hooked up. Use a decent dust collection system, and your neighbors (and your lungs) will be much happier.

The Dad-Proof Score

[X] Kid-Safe: The power switch lockout is a top-tier safety feature. The riving knife and blade guard are easy to remove and replace which means I am more likely to leave them in place. The blade guard stays out of the way when lifted making it easier to double check my fence measurement settings.

[X] Built Like a Tank: The rolling stand feels industrial, not flimsy.

[ ] Return to Sender: Keep this one. You’ll find excuses to use it.

Bottom Line: I genuinely look forward to using this tool on every project. Whether it's rough framing or fine trim, it just works.
